SINGULARES VII

Tereko Zaballa

THE SLIGHTEST INTENT

The gaze is a central topic with these works of art, made over the passage of the years. It is always the same theme, but with a different appearance.

There is a trompe l’oeil effect, a decoy, that addresses the viewer, enabling them to find the being gazed upon by the work after leaving their own gaze behind. The concept is to allow something from the picture or work to look at oneself.

The gaze is lowered, removed and renounced with this artwork. We allow ourselves to be dominated by the gaze outside of ourselves, coming from the work.
