At this workshop, LUCA RULLO will introduce you to the possibilities offered by capturing sound through microphones and other small vibration transducers. Without going exclusively into a study of the most technical sound, you will experiment with the possibilities of generating auditory imagery using one or several microphones, also taking a look at the most commonly used techniques.
A brief introduction will take you through the technical glossary of microphonics descriptions, types and characteristics and their best known uses in technical developments. You will also learn about the different techniques and uses based on practical examples in and around the workshop space.
The workshop is designed from a practical point of view, working with a semi-professional team, and is suited to all lovers of audiovisual creation, field-recording or home music making.
While not essential, if you do already work with your own material (recorders, microphonics, contact transducers, etc.), we recommend that you bring them along so that we can take a look at a wider selection of materials and configurations.
